Exhibition #7:

"Papercuts: Overlapping Perspectives"From January 9th, 2025 to March 28th

Please join us in welcoming four Nashville based artists, Lanie Gannon, Emily Holt, Ashley Mintz and Delia Seigenthaler at the opening reception, Saturday January 10th from 5:00 to 7:00 at the MaybeItsFate Gallery, 1425 Story Ave, Louisville, Kentucky.

“Whether they are collecting ephemera from flea markets, yard sales or off the streets as they walk, these artists are tuned in to the potential stories these scraps, images and textures can tell.  The narratives of these works range from figurative to atmospheric. Some stories are open-ended, while others are more direct.  Each artist has developed their own language through their use of paper and the methods they use to manipulate the material to give it meaning.  Paper can be both a humble material and exquisite work of art on its own.  It is both fragile and pliable. It can be used as a surface for writing, drawing, printing, etc. and can also be crumbled, folded or cast into three dimensional forms. Paper Cuts explores the versatile nature and beauty of paper itself.” - Emily Holt
